Museums
Croatia is territorially small country, but it has extremely rich cultural heritage, history, traditions, customs and national resources. To preserve all goods that country has in one place and present all that to public, so they can get acquainted with the traditions, culture and various types of art, established are museums. In Croatia today there are over two hundred museums.
The museum studies and exhibits – chronologically or thematically – collection of antiques, art, different buildings, galleries, etc. Different methodological designed exposure are happening there to facilitate presentation as well as communication with public. Catalogs and other editions are published, it comes to production and sale of souvenirs, organization of lectures and educational workshops for children. Traditional cultural heritage is an essential part of Croatia.
In museum visitors can see exhibitions of works of great croatian artists, traditional instruments such as dvojnica, tamburica, lirica and others, handcraft of local craftsmen, clothes (folk costumes), lace products or toys.
