Hrvatska je svoje granice za turiste neformalno otvorila. Turisti iz EU mogu ući u Hrvatsku ako imaju rezerviran smještaj, no građani trećih zemalja neće granicu moći prijeći do 15. lipnja. Ukida se obaveza 14-dnevne samoizolacije.
Croatia has unofficially opened its borders to tourists from EU countries who can enter Croatia if they have a reservation from a hotel or apartment. Third-country citizens will only be able to cross the border after June 15. The 14-day self-isolation obligation is canceled.
If a foreign citizen intends to cross the state border of Croatia, he must fulfill one of the following conditions:
1. possesses documentation proving the ownership of real estate located in the Republic of Croatia or vessels (possibly also the lessee), or comes to the funeral in the Republic of Croatia (possesses appropriate documentation proving this). If this documentation is in order, these foreign citizens are allowed to cross the state border, are registered and enter the place / address where they will stay or where the property / vessel is located, contact phone number and period of stay, the date of leaving the Republic of Croatia.
2. possesses an invitation to a legal entity registered in the Republic of Croatia. For these citizens, it is necessary to indicate the place and address of residence, contact phone number, period of stay and date of planned departure from the Republic of Croatia.
3. All other foreign citizens who have other business reasons for entering Croatia, but who do not have the relevant documentation, should send the request about their intention to cross the state border of the Republic of Croatia by e-mail uzg.covid@mup.hr. and wait for an answer to the request.
Unofficial instruction: the entry of tourists is considered an economic interest, so they are allowed to enter the country. If you are traveling as a tourist, we recommend you to have a voucher or official confirmation of your reservation from the hotel, apartment owner or agency through which you booked. If the reservation confirmation or voucher is issued by a travel company or agency, then the document must have the company’s stamp on it.
Are there any flights to Croatia?
Currently, Croatia Airlines operates one flight per day on the route Zagreb – Frankfurt – Zagreb. Croatia Airlines announced that it will begin flights from Amsterdam on May 25, and will also increase the number of daily flights from Frankfurt. Croatia Airlines is still considering restoring flights to Brussels and London, but so far this is under negotiation. Are hotels in Croatia currently open, if not, when are hotels, campsites and other accommodation expected to open?
It is important to say that hotel accommodation is not prohibited, but due to the closure of borders and restrictions imposed on hotel business and catering facilities, most of the facilities remained closed for economic, health and safety reasons. Nevertheless, since weakening of measures was introduced on May 11 with mandatory compliance with and implementation of the prescribed health and safety measures, in the process the gradual opening of hotels and campsites with all auxiliary facilities, the private sector, and all those who decide to continue their activities, depending on the opening of state borders, i.e., market demand.
Are restaurants open?
From May 11, it is allowed to open restaurants and cafes that have a terrace, i.e. the ability to accommodate guests outside, with respect and implementation of the prescribed health and safety measures.
Are beaches, playgrounds and outdoor sports facilities open?
As measures begin to weaken, public places in the open air, including children’s playgrounds and public places of recreation, are gradually opened for public use, follow safety measures, social distance: 1,5 m apart, unless they are a family. The maximum number of people is 15 people per 100 m2, and in the sea you need to keep a distance of 1.5 meters.
Entry of foreign nationals of yacht and boat owners in the Republic of Croatia
Foreign citizens who own yachts and boats in the Republic of Croatia may cross the state border upon presentation of documents confirming the right of ownership of the vessel or documents confirming them like an user the vessel (it is necessary to provide a berth agreement and / or a certificate of maritime tourism that the vessel is on the berth in this port). Members of his immediate family can cross the Croatian border with the owner of the vessel. If there are family members and / or crew members on board in addition to the owner, a list of all passengers, including the crew, must be provided in addition to the documents mentioned above.
